LeBron James suspended one-game Suspension, Isaiah Stewart suspended for two games for an on-court altercation

Lakers star LeBron James has been suspended for the first time in his 19-year career after an incident on Sunday with Pistons center Isaiah Stewart.

The NBA said in a statement on Monday that Stewart has been suspended for two games without pay “for escalating an on-court altercation by repeatedly and aggressively pursuing Los Angeles Lakers forward LeBron James.”

James was suspended for one game without pay “recklessly hitting” Isaiah Stewart that required eight stitches.”

As a result of LeBron James’ one-game suspension, he will forfeit about $284,000 in salary. Isaiah Stewart, who has been suspended for two games, will lose about $45,000.
