Ole Gunnar Solskjaer departs as Manchester United manager

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has left Manchester United as
manager after the club’s 4-1 loss at Watford, a club
statement said on Sunday. Solskjaer replaced Jose
Mourinho as United boss, initially on a temporary
basis, in December 2018 and presided over 168
games. During that time United spent £376 million
on new players, according to The Independent, and
finished 6th, 3rd and 2nd in the Premier League. But
defeat in the final of the 2021 Europa League was
the closest they came to lifting a trophy under his
watch. Michael Carrick will serve as United’s interim
manager until a full-time appointment is announced.
the club has said. Keep it here for all the reactions
and further developments.
