Disqualified Nigerian Athletes protest on the streets of Japan.

Earlier this week, 10 out of 23 Nigerian Athletes were disqualified by the Athletic Integrity Unit (AIU) due to failure to meet the minimum testing requirements under Rule 15 of the Anti-Doping Rules for ‘Category A’ federations.

Disqualified Nigerian stormed he streers of Japan to protest after their disqualification form the ongoing Tokyo 2020 Olympics.

On Friday, July 30, protesting athletes stormed the streets of Japan to express their disappointment. They carried placards with the inscription “Why should we suffer for someone else’s negligence”, “we’re not just alternates but potential medalist”, “10 out of 23, we can’t continue this way!! and “All we wanted to do is to compete”.
