IGP sets up new unit to take over from disbanded SARS.

The inspector General of police has set up another unit to take over from the disbanded Special anti-robbery squad of the Nigerian police force.

According to vanguard news, the new unit will be known as Special weapon and Tactics (SWAT) team and will fill the gap arising from the dissolution of the defunct SARS.

He also on Tuesday instructed all personnel of the defunct SARS to report at the force headquarters, Abuja for debriefing, Psychological and medical examination.
