5 people arrested in connection of pop smoke death

Five arrests have been made in connection with the February 2020 death of Pop Smoke, The Hollywood Reporter and TMZ report. According to TMZ, three of the people arrested are adults and two are juveniles. Police have not announced any other information or suspected motives, THR reports.

When contacted by Pitchfork, representatives for the Pop Smoke Estate offered no comment. Pitchfork has also reached out to representatives for the Los Angeles Police Department.

Pop Smoke was shot and killed in a suspected home invasion in Hollywood Hills, California. The rapper was 20 years old.

Pop Smoke released his second mixtape Meet the Woo 2 less than two weeks before his death. His Album Shoot for the Stars Aim for the Moon was issued on July 3 which has currently sold 225k in the first week of release.
